Space

Today I'm gonna write a little bit about having your own space. I think this is crucial to improving mental health because it can be overwhelming for some to be around people a lot of the time. Especially if said person is self conscious & anxious about themselves or the way the look. If the individual has social anxiety and has been speaking to others or just being around a lot of people & cars & noise, having your own space to come back to to recover & recuperate is needed. I personally don't have that space currently. I live with my boyfriend and his family and as much as I love and appreciate the support I receive here, at aged 23 me and my partner need our own space. We have a very small room with the smallest bed. I can only get into half of my wardrobe as the bed is in the way of the other half and there's  no room for me to set up a desk or anything like that, hence why I sit in bed. I would love to decorate and make the space my own, but its so hard to do that here. And very messy as there is nowhere to put anything.

I have been meeting some friends of mine who have recently got their own flats and its amazing what they've managed to do with the place. They've really made it their own and they both have said how much the enjoy having alone time in their own space. Me and partner really want that too. We've been working towards it for a long time but due to my mental health, it makes it a lot more challenging. One day I hope to write some good news about it here, maybe we will progress and find somewhere or at least have the funds. I really do hope so.

Let me know if you've recently gotten your own space & how it affects you. I haven't recieved any comments yet and would love it if you did! But if not, of course that's fine too. I'm going to keep writing these anyway.

I hope you've had a good day.
