Samantics
Oh my goodness. What an epic evening. Anywhere where there is food, drink, folk music and a happy atmosphere - I cannot get enough of. And that's what tonight was for me and my partner. The main reason we went tonight was to see Samantics. He was incredible as always AND I got to meet him, talk to him, got a hug and even a photo. I have seen him many, many times live now and I have never had the confidence to talk to him. Anxiety has always gotten in the way. But I plucked up the courage today and it felt so good. We talked about the fact I had just started Sertraline and he said to stick with it. The majority of his songs are about mental health and how its affected him in his life. So, I thought it would be ok to bring up. He approached me actually because he noticed that I was wearing his t-shirt from crowdfunder. He was the first crowdfunder I have ever backed and I was glad I did. I bought his shirt, new album, a travel cup, lyric book and bottle opener. Anyway, what a truly amazing night. We watched another singer who was only 15 years old first of all sat under a marquee on a load of hale bales. It was really cute. Then we went into a small intimate building and we were right at the front. There was a small meet and greet tent where we chatted to him afterwards and it was epic. It was one of the best evenings of my life, honestly. And the best bit? I wasn't anxious. I talked to a true idol of mine who I have never spoken to before and went to somewhere new and I wasn't anxious. I cannot wait until the day where I feel like that every time I do something. It was a truly fantastic feeling. On the way home, me and my partner grabbed chinese, watched it eating Orange is the New Black and now we're chilling in our bedroom. A wonderful, wonderful evening.
In other news, I spent hours last night sorting out my shelves and now they look so much better. I took everything off, split it into piles of things going back on the shelves, things I'm storing, rubbish, charity shop/selling stuff and dusted all of the ornaments and shelves. It looks so much better now. I plan to continue on my mission next week and start trying to sell some stuff and give the room a general tidy up because I can't get to anything to sort it out! But I'm proud of my progress.
Tomorrow I plan to go out for a roast dinner with my partner to a local cafe. I usually only go there with my Dad but I recently went with my partner and best friend and it was great. We've only ever had breakfast in there so we thought we'd try the Sunday roast as it is my favourite meal. I also plan to send off my ESA and Student Finance Forms tomorrow as well.
I'm loving life right now.
