Wedding
Ok so I have a lot to cover from the past 3 days so yet again, its going to be a long one. I think just presume they will be long from now on because they always seem to be.
On Saturday I went to my partners uncles wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. I've been to 3 other weddings who were all cousins of mine in the past but never one outside of my family so it was a lovely experience. The bride looked beautiful and the groom was very emotional, it was sweet. They got married in a small church and my partner absolutely loved the hymns. So did I. We had recently had a conversation about what hymns we sung in assemblies at school and I was sad that I couldn't remember many. We ended up singing 3 of them at the wedding and my partner was dancing along. The atmosphere was just wonderful and it really reminded me of when I used to go to church as a child with my mum and nanny. It brought back a lot of happy memories and although I am not christian anymore, I still think that community is extremely important and it was an absolute joy to be back in a church again. It also got me excited to plan and have my own wedding one day, no pressure to my partner! We actually pranked his dad at the reception saying that he proposed at the wedding and his mum went along with it. It was hilarious until he actually believed it. Thank goodness he can take a joke. The reception was at a village hall. We had a buffet and desert under a marquee, there was live music and a disco for the evening, a cheap bar and wonderful company. I actually chatted to my partners granny for most of the night and had a little dance. I drunk 4 pints. I was definitely drunk but it was worth it to have a nice time and I found a few pluses to getting drunk quickly, less money and no hangover in the morning! It really was a beautiful, fun filled day.
There's not too much to say about yesterday although there is a magazine that I would like to write about. One thing that I can say about myself with certainty is that I'm organized. I love making plans and writing them out in my diary. For the plans that I'm unsure of, I will write them on post it notes. And when I know they are definitely happening or have already happened, I write them in the actual book. There is a free magazine that comes through our door once a month and I absolutely love it. It highlights some wonderful things to do in the area as well as provides a brilliant read. It tells you about any clubs, music events, plays, fairs etc. going on during the month as well as giving you a 'hot list' with some ideas of what to see, do and experience during the month and some happy news articles. It features a walk each month with pictures, crucial information such as the time, difficulty etc and then walks you through it so that you can take it a long with you and you won't get lost. There's gardening, home, history, travel, health and nutrition features plus a restaurant feature, recipes, brain teasers and always a competition. I do apologise if that was too much to read about a mag but I love it. It gives me so many ideas of things to do over that time period and a lot of it is either very cheap or free and all in my local area. I never actually do the things in the mag but yesterday I wrote it all out on my post its and hopefully I'll be able to do some soon. I'm really looking forward to it.
And finally there is today which was a busy day. The morning started off with myself, my partner and his dad heading to an auction viewing. We've been a few times before but not for a long while. It was brilliant fun as always. We then did our weekly food shop with my partners mum and then walked the dogs up in the woods. My partner feels particularly guilty because one of our dogs cut the inside of her mouth open with a stick that he threw for her and she's feeling a bit sorry for herself tonight and not eating too much. I'm sure she'll be ok in a couple of days but my partner loves his animals to bits and is very sensitive when it comes to them. I adore the love thats in his heart but he shouldn't feel so guilty. She'll be ok.
I have had a horrific headache all day. I have talked about dehydration in a previous blog but it happens easily as I just don't feel thirst and I forget to drink. At almost 11pm it has finally improved but its been a really hard day. I've also had a terrible cough now for weeks which doesn't want to leave. This evening however, I bought myself a water bottle that tells you when to drink. I hope you know what I mean. Its hard to explain. I'm hoping that will help me out.
Tomorrow is my dads birthday and I have been speaking to my stepmum over the last couple days about his plans but he doesn't want to do anything. I'm not sure if I will be seeing him or not but I have left my day open if he would like to. I ordered the frame for his painting yesterday and I have done a small part of it tonight although with my headache, not as much as I wanted to. I will have to finish it tomorrow. I also have plans to enter the competition tomorrow that was in the magazine. It is to win a security camera which if I did win, would probably go to my dad. He has many already and I'm sure another would make him feel even better.
Ok this is possibly my longest blog yet so I'm going to bugger off. Bye!
