Shopping
So today has been another good day.
I have now made myself a shelf in the fridge and freezer for my own food on advise from my doctor and compared to normal, I have eaten incredibly well today. I am trying out what my therapist said in eating something small every 3 hours rather than waiting until I'm really hungry and then eating a ton. I am also going to try and have some form of fruit or vegetable with every meal and its going well so far. This morning I even meal prepped. I made a berry compote for the first time by throwing strawberries, blueberries and raspberry and cranberry juice into a saucepan, boiling it up and mashing it together. It is now cool and in the fridge and I plan to eat it later with some vanilla natural yoghurt and fresh berries. I had scrambled egg on toast and some grapes for breakfast, an apple for a snack, a chicken sausage sandwich and baked beans for lunch, 1 packet of crisps for a snack and I've just had dinner - Chicken Pops and a milky way for afters. Oh, and a slushie and homemade smoothie (Pineapple, Mango, Papaya and Berries with juice) It may not sound very healthy but the portions are very small and its a lot better compared to normal.
I didn't have any plans today but then my partners dad messaged us last night asking if we wanted to go to a local town to do a bit of shopping today, so we did. Me and my partner often play guitar hero together on the wii but we only have one guitar and his dad had found one for sale there. We picked it up and it turns out its for the game we don't have, but that's ok, it just means we'll have to get it. We went to B&M (hence why I've eaten a packet of crisps and a chocolate bar today, but its better than 6!) and I bought some healthier foods like tinned tomatoes and tomato puree which I plan to add with some other ingredients to make a soup at some point and other things. Then we went charity shopping to try and find some cheap wii games for my partners dad. He bought a few which we will try out tomorrow when we go to his for dinner I'm sure. And finally, I went into The Works and bought myself a couple of books. I'm a sucker for self help/journal type books and I LOVE Fearne Cotton. I bought myself a journal of hers called Calm which I will start to fill in next year. I'm very excited. I also bought a CBT Journal as I thought that may help me work on things when I'm not in a session. I have CBT tomorrow and if I'm honest, I'm a little nervous. I filled out the form today and although things look better on that, I didn't do well with the diaries because my sleeping was so crazy. I'm hoping she'll understand though and we can work something out.
My partners phone interview went well, he is intrigued and they said they would get back to him soon and everythings looking a little better right now. I'm happy.
