Carnival | Excitement
On Thursday I received my letter giving me the time and date for my mental health assessment. I waited 6 weeks to get it so I'm glad it finally came. For anyone who doesn't know, I am currently receiving universal credit benefits. This is due to my mental state affecting my current ability to work. I had to leave my last job because of this and my doctor (and myself) believe that I am unable to be in employment at this time. However, the final decision lies with the health advisory service. I have already sent them a long form outlining everything that I struggle with on a daily basis and they will use that along with what they learn about me during the assessment to make a decision about what amount of money I am entitled to. They may disagree with my doctors decision and say that I must look for work or they may believe that I am actually entitled to get more/ less money than I currently am. My assessment is in 3 weeks so I will let you know the outcome then.
Yesterday I got an email from my tutor saying that subject to moderation...I PASSED MY COURSE. It may have only been Level 2 but it was so difficult for me to do and I did it. I wasn't expecting to find out so soon but I'm absolutely over the moon. And in more good news, I reached 500 followers on Pinterest. It is even more now but how amazing is that. The whole point of creating it was to direct people to my blog. Not one person from Pinterest has found their way here yet but at least people have found me there! Not much else happened yesterday other than my partner having an appointment and he was kind enough to pick up my Sertraline. The tablets are still 100mg but they look quite a bit bigger. Maybe they are a different brand.
Today I went to one of my most favorite things in the world - The Carnival. Its official, its Carnival season and I absolutely love it. There are 4 that I go to every year and the first was near to where my partners dad lives so we went with him. It was great fun and it just fills me with joy. September is the start of my favorite time of year. Most people struggle due to it getting darker and the weather getting colder but I love it. I dislike Summer. I struggle with the heat and it often makes me ill, there are wasps everywhere and people as far as the eye can see. But in the Winter, its a much more manageable temperature and I love dragging all of my hats, scarves, gloves and big Winter coats out of the wardrobe and wrapping up warm. Sometimes it snows and that I love more than anything. Snow is so much fun. I pray for it this year. Then of course it is Carnival season which leads up to TAR BARRELS. I will explain more about this when the time comes as to me, its almost as good as Christmas. Strictly Come Dancing comes on TV, its Halloween and then Christmas. There are some very exciting times ahead and I cannot wait.
